Strawbridge Marketplace is located at the intersection of General Booth Boulevard and London Bridge Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was part of a major development located on a 274-acre farm owned by the Russell Brown family. The Strawbridge neighborhood consisting of single-family lots was developed on most of the property and London Bridge Road was relocated to bisect the tract. The frontage was devoted to commercial and institutional use. The shopping center is anchored by a 39,000 square foot Harris Teeter grocery store, 43,000 square foot Regal Cinema, 10,000 square foot Rite Aid, and 92,000 square feet of small shops. They include such stores as Either Ore Jewelers, Kelly’s Tavern, Lucky Oyster, Physiotherapy Associates, and The Egg Bistro. The shops are owned by entity held by Robert M. Stanton and others.
